The “Stop The Violence” Rap-a-Thon 2013 on the WYMS Livestream Benefitting Harlem Mothers Save

2d1b4b44-14d3-4a90-a286-8b9a844f2a35The Hip Hop Culture Center is producing a Rapathon to support Harlem Mothers Save. A Rapathon is an event similar to a Walk-A-Thon where a group of Rappers commit to rap non-stop for multiple hours (no cursing) and for every minute that this is successfully done, funds are being raised. Monies raised will be donated to the organization Harlem Mothers Save.

Harlem Mothers Save is a group of Mothers who have lost children to gun violence and are committed to making a difference on their slain children’s behalf. The goal is to open a new office in NYC. Gun violence is reaching alarming heights in our communities, and we intend to be part of the cure.

Many people realize how serious this situation is, and supporting us through Rockethub is a great way to help. The Rapathon will be filmed and all supporters will have a custom rhyme created and included in the documentary.
